"I'm not going to say Floyd won't fight again," Mayweather's father and trainer, Floyd Mayweather Sr., told the Los Angeles Times. "[The new arena], that might [convince him], too. He might be persuaded." The new arena Mayweather Sr. spoke of is the 20,000-seat arena located on the Strip.

Another factor that might bring Floyd Mayweather out of retirement is if his Filipino rival Manny Pacquiao wins convincingly against the American fighter Timothy Bradley. However, Floyd Mayweather Sr. thinks that Timothy Bradley has a great chance to defeat Manny Pacquiao.

Floyd Mayweather Sr. also believes that his son should not come out of retirement because he already has a perfect record of 49 wins with no loss and has beaten the best fighters of his generation. He also believes that his son has enough money already after the purse he made in the first Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao fight.
