Lifestyle Coach Share Battle With Anxiety And Depression

A lifestyle and business coach has revealed her battle with anxiety and depression on social media. Rugby native Amber Smith claimed that there is a side to her that most people around her do not see.

In a post on her Facebook page, Smith showed two photos of her -- one with makeup one and the other looked like a depressed woman with tons of problems. "I'm so sick of the fact that it's 2016 and there is still so much stigma around mental health," she said on her post noting that there are still a lot of people who are not properly educated about mental health.

She shared that anxiety has been her worst enemy in years but claimed that many individuals just tell her that she'll get over the problem soon or that she just need to take medicines. Smith hurled expletives at these people saying that they have no idea what she is going through.

"I physically look 'fine' that I'm not battling a monster inside my head every single day," she added. However, Smith is positive that she can overcome her mental struggles. She also advised other people with the same problem to talk to their loved ones and gather strength from them.

"To anyone who is going through the same, please do not suffer in silence," she added. "There is so much support around."

The lifestyle coach also highlighted that people need to be kind and respectful to other people. "Don't bully others, don't put others down and the hardest one of them all (as we have all done it at some point) don't judge another person," she added.

According to Independent, the post has become viral on Facebook with more than 13,000 people sharing the article. It noted that Smith also received many words of wisdom from people who are in the situation and even those who just wanted to console her.
