‘Sons Of Anarchy’ Prequel Delayed? Kurt Sutter Discusses Closure With Charlie Hunnam And Former Cast

The "Sons of Anarchy" prequel remains as one of the most highly anticipated shows on TV since the FX series concluded after seven seasons in 2014. While details about the "SOA" prequel remain scarce, rumors are rife that the release may be delayed, as Kurt Sutter is once again busy with another project.

Little is still known about the much-awaited "Sons of Anarchy" prequel but several reports are noting on the possibility that fans will have to wait longer for the series' release. Series creator Kurt Sutter has recently partnered with BOOM! Studios to launch his new comic book entitled "Lucas Stand," reports Variety.

Sutter told the publication that he initially planned on releasing "Lucas Stand" as a TV series, but later on realized that the storyline was too much for the small screens. It was then that the "Sons of Anarchy" creator decided to pitch the idea to BOOM!

"It could potentially live better in a different medium," he said.

Sutter has previously released a comic version of "Sons of Anarchy" with the same studio. Sutter admitted that he has a thing for action, blood and big guns but redemption remains as his main focus.

This news made many fans worry over the release of the "Sons of Anarchy" prequel. It was initially thought that Sutter will begin working on the prequel after "The Bastard Executioner," but the series creator worked on something else.

In an earlier interview with Deadline, Sutter admitted that he had some closure with the former cast of "SOA," including Charlie Hunnam. Sutter revealed that he was able to get the chance to bond with Hunnam while he was in London.

Sutter also shared that the "SOA" prequel will run for 10 to 12 episodes and will focus on the events that took place prior to Jax Teller's birth. The prequel will also show how the club was developed and how Nam and John Teller were able to establish their relationship.
