2017 Audi R8 V10 Plus: A Quick Review

Dashing through Daytona is the new 2017 Audi R8 V10 Plus, a supercar that surely surpasses its predecessors in making crowds go "wow." It's a slick ride that will make both professional race car drivers, billionaires and the general public to want to own one.

Better Than Ever

The new 2017 R8 is a "sharper, studied evolution of its predecessor," reports Cnet. The first-generation R8 was considered to be the best everyday supercar thanks to its features such as a liveable interior, great ergonomics, an all-wheel drive capable of traveling in all weathers, as well as its general drivability. This new model easily surpasses that with what it has to offer.

While the R8 V10 rushes along with the power of 540 horses and 398 pound-feet of torque, the V10 Plus does that with 610hp and 413 pound-feet of torque. This, of course, is enough to give drivers a ride of a lifetime, with some G's to push them to their limits.

The new R8 V10 Plus boasts of its capacity to go from 0-60mph in just a matter of 3.2 seconds. If that doesn't amaze drivers, Dion von Moltke, who along with his teammates gave Audi the Rolex 24 three years ago, was able to drive the R8 V10 Plus at a maximum breakneck speed of 185 mph, reports Slash Gear. And although Audi says that the V10 Plus can go up to a maximum speed of 205mph, Dion's speed, of course, is not to be toyed with.

Handles Like a Charm

Running at such speeds will certainly make nervous drivers hit the brakes quickly, but thankfully the good guys at Audi has attached carbon ceramic brakes that safely chop down running speeds real fast. And with a 15-percent stiffer and 40-percent lighter ride, one won't have to worry about inertia and all that - the new R8 V10 Plus is a powerful but safe ride, when driven with caution of course.

The 2017 Audi R8 V10 Plus is priced starting at $162,900 MSRP.
