You can blame your allergic reaction to the environment but, the real cause of it your immune system as Dr. Chakravarty added it has the ability to know what is safe, normal dangerous for your body. Hence, check the five everyday things that can surprisingly cause allergic reactions.

1. Jewelry

Silver jewelry is often made with nickel, which is known culprit of the common causes of allergies, called allergic contact dermatitis. In fact, 17 percent of women while 3 percent of men have nickel allergies, as per CNN.

2. Cell phones And Tablets

Some people have metal allergies and so, they will have a hard time to use smartphones, tablets, PDAs and such. These gadgets have been known to have nickel and cobalt that can result to have allergic reactions.

3. Wool

It has been known that wool brings itch to the skin. But, there are some people who are naturally sensitive to lanolin, a wax-like substance from sheep. Wool contains lanolin that can cause allergies for some.

4. Laundry Detergent

Some of the ingredients from laundry detergents and fabric softeners, particularly dyes and scents, can cause allergic reactions, Dr. McGrath revealed, Health reported. However, it can't be acquired in the soap alone but, it can also be transferred into clothes washed by the detergent.

5. Raw Products And Nuts

Pollens and grasses can be transferred in fruits and can cause allergic reactions to anyone who will eat it. Cross-reactivity can happen in as apples, peaches, bananas, melons, tomatoes, celery, carrots, onions, potatoes, along with peanuts and hazelnuts.
