'Frozen 2' Cast, News & Update: Production Casts Emily Blunt As Elsa's Real Sister

The first "Frozen" film was a hit. Due to its success, many are looking forward to "Frozen 2." New reports suggest that a new character will join the sequel and she will be playing a major role.

Emily Blunt Joins "Frozen 2"

According to Australia Network, "Frozen" features the relationship between the Arendelle sisters, Queen Elsa and Princess Anna. While Pixar and Disney are still working on "Frozen 2," there are rumors that Emily Blunt is set to join "Frozen 2" to play as Elsa's real sister.

Blunt Mistaken As Elsa

Emily Blunt played the role of the Queen of Ice in "Huntsman: Winter's War," which is close to Elsa's character in "Frozen." Due to the similarities of their roles, many believe that they could be sisters in "Frozen 2." In fact, some thought that she was Elsa. Blunt understands that the two Queens of Ice are difficult to distinguish from each other. However, there was an encounter with a "Frozen" superfan, which caught her unprepared

"Charlize's son was on set a lot and he's obsessed with Frozen so he really thought I was Elsa," Blunt told Jimmy Kimmel per Entertainment Weekly. "And then he got really disappointed because he saw me in my sweatpants one day with the white hair on, and he just looks at me and goes, 'Put on your dress.' Like, he was really bummed about it. 'Put it on now.'"

Elsa and Anna Not Real Sisters

While Emily Blunt joining "Frozen 2" is a great idea, these reports are not confirmed yet. Also, from Blunt's statement, it seems that she was just mistaken us Elsa from "Frozen" and might not really join "Frozen 2."

There have been endless talks about Elsa and Anna not being siblings. Parent Herald previously reported that Elsa's real twin sister is Rapunzel from "Tangle." Both are left-handed and they are the only princesses in the Disney world with powers. Elsa with ice and Rapunzel with her hair.
