Scientology & Lisa Marie Presley: Former Wife Of Michael Jackson Teams Up With Dad Of Church Leader David Miscavige To Fight For Family Rights

Former wife of Michael Jackson and the only daughter of "The King Of Rock and Roll" Elvis Presley, Lisa Marie, is reportedly set on a mission to warn people off the Church of Scientology. Lisa Marie Presley has reportedly teamed up with the father of current Scientology leader David Miscavige on her mission to fight for family rights, so to speak.

The Church Of Scientology has long been associated with the practice of "disconnection," which is a way of alienating members from family and friends who do not belong to the church. This practice has reportedly caused many families to break down.

Cases range where parents turn against children, children against parents, siblings turn against siblings, husband against wife, wife against husband and so on. The Church of Scientology never admitted to this practice, but members who "escaped" from the church tell a different story.

According to The Underground Bunker, the father of David Miscavige, Ron, and Ron's wife Becky Bigelow are among those who make a case of disconnection. In a book called "Ruthless: Scientology, My Son David Miscavige, and Me" Ron Miscavige outlined his life post-Scientology.

Ron Miscavige was reportedly a respected member of the Church Of Scientology for 40 years. Miscavige attempted to leave Scientology and personally experienced disconnection from his son David and daughters, Denise and Lori, therefrom.

Ron Miscavige and his wife Becky Bigelow were also reportedly tailed by armed men after their escape from the Church. The men were said to be under the directives of David Miscavige. Ron Miscavige reportedly reached out to Lisa Marie Presley, whose disillusionment with the Church Of Scientology by then had grown over the years.

When Lisa Marie Presley tried to speak directly with David Miscavige to clarify things, she was instead met by Ron Miscavige's daughters, Denise Gentile and Lori Verneuille. The daughters tried to make Lisa Marie Presley believe that Ron and his other son, Ron Jr., were abusive to them.

Lisa Marie Presley reportedly began investigating the Church Of Scientology more closely in 2008. In 2012, Lisa Marie Presley released the album "Storm & Grace," expressing the conclusions she developed over Scientology.

Perez Hilton reports that Lisa Marie Presley left Scientology for good after she heard the account of Ron Miscavige's own experience of being forcibly disconnected from his family who are still part of the church. Lisa Marie Presley allegedly helped stories of these cases reach such media outlets as TMZ, Los Angeles Times and NBC.

Part the reason being cited is the importance of family to Lisa Marie Presley, who lost her own father Elvis when she was only nine years old. What do you think about this issue? Share your thoughts below!
