Many fans are anticipating the return of detective "Sherlock." According to news reports, "Sherlock" Season 4 is already in the works. In fact, lead star Benedict Cumberbatch is back in his detective's overcoat to continue Sherlock Holme's next adventure in "Sherlock" Season 4.

"Sherlock" star Benedict Cumberbatch is busy filming "Doctor Strange," where he portrayed the lead role of a surgeon turned sorcerer superhero. This time, Cumberbatch has removed the sorcerer's cape and puts back his detective coat to film "Sherlock 4." Daily Mail Online reported that the new season has started filming in Cardiff.

The "Sherlock" Season 4 lead star was spotted in his familiar detective navy overcoat as he filmed some scenes in South Wales. It was the first time, Cumberbatch was spotted filming season 4, following "Sherlock" co-creators Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss confirmation about the new season.

Benedict Cumberbatch told Deadline that he is "genuinely thrilled to be back filming 'Sherlock' with all the cast and crew. I can't wait for everyone to see season four. But you will have to wait... though not for long. ... And it will be worth it."

 "Sherlock" Season 4 Will Be Dark

Meanwhile, there are speculations that "Sherlock" Season 4 will be dark. There are rumors that Mary will die and Moriarty will return. Whether these reports are true or not, this is what Moffat and Gatiss said about "Sherlock" Season 4.

"Whatever else we do, wherever we all go, all roads lead back to Baker Street - and it always feels like coming home. Ghosts of the past are rising in the lives of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson bringing adventure, romance and terror in their wake," the duo said.
