"Chicago Fire" Season 4 spoilers are rife that Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Dawson (Monica Raymund) are headed for a breakup. During a recent interview with executive producer Matt Olmstead, it was revealed that this couple is bound to face a lot of obstacles in their relationship.

"There are very concrete things that are pulling them apart from each other," he told The Hollywood Reporter.

"Chicago Fire" Season 4 spoilers from Olmstead hint that Casey will want to focus more on his career change while Dawson will find herself wanting to take care of the kid she saved in the last episode. The showrunner shared that this will test the couple until the end of the season.

"By the end of the [season finale], we kind of define which way they're going to go ... This is really the fork in the road for these two characters," he added.

TVGuide.com also notes on the possibility of a love triangle taking place in "Chicago Fire" Season 4. According to the publication, in last week's episode, a political consultant named Susan (Lauren Stamile) approached Casey and offered him to become something more than a firefighter.

Casey felt overwhelmed and happy when he heard of Susan's praises. Dawson, on the other hand, refused to trust Susan and is a little bit suspicious of her intentions.

"So, as that starting to actually crystallize into something that could be real, on the other side of it you have Dawson, who is out of the gates a little suspicious of this political consultant. Just instinctively, she doesn't trust," shared Olmstead.
