'Captain America: Civil War' News & Updates: 'Ant-Man' Paul Rudd Got Star Struck On Set Of New Marvel Film

"Ant-Man" actor Paul Rudd could not help but get star struck on the set of the latest hit movie, "Captain America: Civil War." Rudd admitted to getting overwhelmed in the presence of fellow actors -- Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans -- while shooting scenes of the "Civil War."

The 47-year-old played a cameo on the "Captain America: Civil War" release as the superhero character whose movie came out last year. NME said Paul Rudd had a different experience shooting "Civil War" than the "Ant-Man" movie, where he was the lead actor.

"We shot 'Ant-Man' - but I was alone in a bubble," he mentioned in the same report. "All of a sudden I'm standing around seeing Robert Downey Jr. in the Iron Man suit, and seeing Chris Evans."

He added that when he saw all the superhero characters in "Captain America: Civil War," he was transported back to his childhood days. "I've seen the movies," Paul Rudd noted, refer I felt like I was 10 years old. It was crazy. It was pretty cool!" Rudd noted.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the actor also felt weird when he witnessed Sebastian Stan, who plays "Bucky" Barnes in the movie, getting his silver arm. "It was like I was watching somebody bathing. I'm not supposed to see this, but I did," Paul Rudd explained. "I went over and I just kind of... felt the arm."

The actor also shared that he could not stop himself from trying on the shield of Captain America when Evans went to the bathroom. Paul Rudd further explained his surprise -- Captain America's shield in "Civil War" was a lot heavier than he Rudd thought it was.

The new movie, which comes out May 6, is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. Comic Book Movie said "Captain America: Civil War" follows Steve Rogers as he leads a new Avengers team which aims to protect humanity. The superheroes are now faced with a system that controls monitors and their actions as protectors of the world.
