‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Release Date, News & Update: Sophie Turner Hints Taylor Swift’s Possible Cameo Role

Details of the upcoming "X-Men: Apocalypse" are now emerging as there are swirling rumors Taylor Swift having a cameo role. On the Instagram page of Sophie Turner, the "Game of Thrones" actress hinted the appearance of the "Bad Blood" singer.

"#FlashbackFriday to that time Cyclops and I went shopping at the mall and found our favorite singer's album (pre 1989, of course)," Sophie Turner captioned her snap. Better known as Sansa Stark, the 20-year-old actress was in her character as Jean Grey shopping for vinyl with Scott Summers/Cyclops (Tye Sheridan), according to UPI.com.

The two mutants were in their 1980-style clothing while Scott Summers was holding the Dazzler album. "Dazzler. Sounds of Light and Fury," the record's cover read.

The art case featured a blonde woman, who some believed to be Taylor Swift, who was renowned for her "1989" album. However, it was not yet clear if Taylor Swift would appear in "X-Men: Apocalypse" as Sophie Turner just compared her looks to the blonde lady in the album cover, AKA Dazzler.

To recall, Simon Kinberg, "X-Men: Apocalypse" writer and producer, shared an image of the "X-Men" stars along with Taylor Swift in the set of the movie in Montreal. Taylor Swift was side by side with James McAvoy, Sophie Turner and the 42-year-old screenwriter, Collider reported.

It has been said the photo of Taylor Swift with the "X-Men: Apocalypse" director and stars was just a friendly visit. But, the image posted by Sophie Turner fueled the hearsays she might have a cameo role in the movie franchise.

In the Marvel comics, Comic Book Resources cited Dazzler is known as a mutant singer who uses her powers to "turn sound waves" into an overpowering ray of lights. In the album's art cover, Dazzler was donning a sparkly outfit and blonde locks, which was quite similar to Taylor Swift's look.

Their resemblance made the rumors about her appearance stronger. Fans still have to wait until the release of "X-Men: Apocalypse" on May 27 to see if Taylor Swift is indeed in the film.
