PlayStation Controller Bra Allows 'Dead Or Alive' Gamers To Touch Boobs; See How It Works!

A third-party PlayStation controller could change the way gamers enjoy "Dead Or Alive." It's called the PlayStation controller bra and it's a device meant to be worn on the chest. The player controls the game by literally touching boobs and if this bit seem amusing, you should know that one of its inventors is a woman.

Artists Daniele Hopkins and Kyle Duffield presented the PlayStation controller bra in a Vector: Game+Art Convergence in Toronto, per Nerd Reactor. They strapped the device on to women and then let "Dead Or Alive" gamers, who are mostly men, give it a go.

The PlayStation controller bra is featured with an Itagaki Interface. You can watch it in action in the video demonstration at the end of this article.

Why Use The PlayStation Controller Bra On 'Dead Or Alive'?

It might seem ironic to use the PlayStation controller bra on a controversial game like "Dead Or Alive." Part of why the game is popular worldwide is in the way it presents its women characters.  Female fighters in the game are shown in revealing outfits that over-emphasize the size of their boobs.  The game has received much criticism for the objectification.

But this is exactly why the artists decided to create the PlayStation controller bra. "This piece questions general assumptions about the willingness of the game's target audience to face the contrast between reality and fantasy in relation to assumed preference and comfort level when confronted with real-life physical interaction through either a male or female interface," the artists wrote on their site

PlayStation Controller Bra: What Is The Itagaki Interface?

The artists devised the PlayStation controller bra with an Itagaki Interface, which they said should bring to light the controversy of women objectification in the fighting game. "[We're] giving gamers the opportunity to directly address the source of the controversy - how gamers interact with sexuality in both digital and physical forms when presented simultaneously," the artist explained on their site further.

Hopkins and Duffield started with the PlayStation controller bra in 2013 and unfortunately for those waiting to get their hands on it, the device hasn't gone into commercial production. However, the project was once again brought to light after it became popular in a recent discussion on Reddit.
