Kate Hudson has opened up about her close relationship with celebrity mom Goldie Hawn. The 37-year-old actress stressed on how wonderful her mom has been to her all these years, both in and out of the spotlight.

In an interview with People, Kate Hudson said there is another side to Goldie Hawn that the public does not know. Kate Hudson claimed that her mom does not only serve as a parent for her but also a confidante.

"I think people get an idea of her spirit and she's just this wonderful person and she's a light and she's a great mom. She's a very strong presence and she was strict at times," Kate Hudson told People. "She wasn't always like what her Instagram shows. There's another side to mom."

Kate Hudson said she never experienced any pressure from Goldie Hawn even when it comes to being an actress. "She just wanted us to be doing the things that made us happy, as long as we were working hard, but we never had to live up to something."

Winnipeg Free Press added that when Kate Hudson decided to follow Goldie Hawn's footsteps to be an actress, they became closer. Kate Hudson noted that they were always there for each other.

"It's not really advice so much as she's my confidante and we talk about our life and her life, and we support each other now that I'm an adult," Kate Hudson added. "Where she's really wonderful is leading an authentic life and a truthful life."

Director Gary Marshall earlier mentioned that Goldie Hawn and Kate Hudson are "pretty much the same person" because of their funny personalities. Inside Halton said Marshall loved how both Kate Hudson and Goldie Hawn helped him with his movies.

It added that Kate Hudson has previously spoken about her rare and beautiful relationship with her Goldie Hawn. She noted that they share a rare mother and daughter bond, adding that they also have misunderstandings like any other.
