Angelina Jolie learns how to cook while filming "Unbroken" in Australia

Angelina Jolie took up cooking lessons from her personal chef while in Australia directing "Unbroken," an insider told the March 10 issue of Us Weekly.

The 38-year-old mother learned a few healthy tips and culinary tricks to help her overcome her fear of the kitchen. The insider says the step could mean a huge lifestyle swap for the children, considered the "worst eaters."

Jolie has six children - all with very different food preferences.

"The Jolie-Pitt kids want to eat different things at different times," the source said.

Angelina's 10-year-old son, Pax, is a much better cook than his famous mom, according to Jolie, who took it as a sign that it was time to take a few notes. According to the source, the actress is very proud of her new skill.

Back in 2011, Jolie bragged that she and fiance Brad Pitt cooked their own Thanksgiving turkey during an interview with Anderson Cooper.

"We were very successful and very proud of ourselves," she said:

Last month, Jolie admitted it's been difficult to have producers sign on her upcoming movie. In an episode of the Today show, Jolie told Tom Brokaw: "This has been the hardest thing I have ever done. I pitched by butt off."

Jolie finished filming the movie last month and has returned home along with Pitt, 50, who was filming for his upcoming movie "Fury" in London.

Jolie and Pitt were both spotted together at the Oscars on Sunday.
