Gwen Stefani gives birth to third son

Gwen Stefani gave birth to her third son, Apollo Bowie Flynn Rossdale, on Friday, according to reports.

The singer, married to 48-year-old Gavin Rossdale, shared the news on Twitter on Saturday. She tweeted: "Welcome Apollo Bowie Flynn Rossdale 2/28/14 (bowie and flynn - mothers' maiden names)."

Stefani, 44, and Rossdale have been married for the past 11 years and have two other sons - Kingston, 7 and Zuma, 5.

Last January, Stefani revealed the gender of her baby through an Instagram post.

"I was ready to hand over the crown, but I guess I am still the queen of the house. #itsaboy #surroundedbyboys."

In February, the singer also shared a photo from her baby shower, which boasted celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow, Nicole Richie, Chelsea Handler, Jessica Alba, Kate Beckinsale, Jen Meyer and Rachel Zoe.

The caption read: "Baby shower! #can't believe I'm pregs thank u Shelli Azoff for a beautiful #girlyday = blessed."

The event was filled with blue-colored treats. An insider told US Weekly: "People cheered as soon as she walked in."

Back in October of 2012, the No Doubt singer expressed that she had nearly given up hope on having a third child and hinted at one traumatic experience. She told Marie Claire: "I really, really, really wanted one about two years ago. And it did not really work out. So I feel good with what we have got. Everything works out how it should. You can't plan anything, right? You can try."

Other than her recent pregnancy, Stefani is keeping busy with her new business - a shoes and bags collection she calls "GX by Gwen Stefani".
