Gaming company, Nintendo and footwear company, Vans are teaming up to release the Nintendo x Vans collection. Featuring designs of some of Nintendo's well-loved 8-bit characters from games like "Mario," "Legend of Zelda," "Donkey Kong," the sneakers are expected to be in the market in June.

European sneakers store 43einhalb was first to release the photos of the Nintendo x Vans collection. The designs will be in sneaker silhouettes like the Sk8, Old Skool, Authentic and Slip-on and its listed price is at €49.95 or about $58.

Nintendo x Vans Collaboration In Four Silhouettes

Vans Sk8 was launched in 1978 as hi-cut sneakers to protect the ankles of its wearer, the skaters and skateboarders. This silhouette's most identifiable feature are the jazz stripes, per Sole Collector.

On the other hand, Vans Old Skool was launched two years earlier than Sk8 as a low-cut design and its notable features are the leather panels around the heels and toes. It is meant to give skateboarders shoes that don't easily wear down. Take a look at some of the photos of Nintendo x Vans with "Mario" designs below:

Vans Authentic and Slip-On are two of the classic silhouettes, which were both released in the 60s. Authentic is the first lace-up skater shoes while Slip-on is the first waffle bottom skaters that other brands have tried to imitate. Check out this "Legend of Zelda" inspired sneakers in pink:

IGN reports that the collaboration between Nintendo and Vans isn't limited to just the sneakers as there will also be Nintendo x Vans releases for the shirts and sandals. It's not known whether the releases will also be in the U.S. market. However, 43einhalb ships worldwide for those interested to purchase. It is expected that more designs will be added after the launch of the Nintendo x Vans collaboration.
