'Saturday Night Live' News & Update: Drake Is Both Host And Guest On SNL; Will Stint Become Permanent?

Drake is bound to return to "Saturday Night Live," not only as a guest, but as host of "SNL". Drake seems to like doing double duty on "SNL." Will this lead to something permanent?

Drake On "Saturday Night Live" May 14 Episode

According to Time, Drake will host "Saturday Night Live's" episode on May 14. This time around, he will be a guest and a host at the same time.

Drake's hosting stint on "SNL" is not the first. He has previously appeared on "SNL" where he also became the host and guest of the show. He must have made a good impression on the "Saturday Night Live's" audience and followers, which prompted "SNL" management to have him host the show for the second time around.

One of the most hilarious things that Drake did on "Saturday Night Live," which earned him a thumbs up from "SNL" fans was his Bar Mitzvah monologue. Another funny Drake "SNL" moment was the "Before They Were Stars" skit.

CTV News said that even after Drake's initial stint on "Saturday Night Live," he still made waves in the U.S. with his "Hotline Bling" video. His video was even spoofed on the show last fall.

Other "Saturday Night Live" Hosts

According to New York Daily News, Drake will not be hosting the May 21 episode of "SNL." This means that there's no permanency here. It will be Fred Armisen, former cast member who will be hosting the "Saturday Night Live's" May 21 episode.

Fred Armisen used to host the show but he left in 2013. "Saturday Night Live's" May 21 episode will be the first appearance of Armisen since the time he left the show about three years ago.

As for "Saturday Night Live's" May 7 episode, it Brie Larson will be hosting it. The musical guest will be the "Girl On Fire" singer, Alicia Keys.

With this great "Saturday Night Live" lineup of hosts and guests from May 7 to May 21, many fans will be tuning on to "SNL." These three Saturdays will be nights to remember.
