"Teen Wolf" Season 6 is already in the middle of production when Dylan O'Brien suffered from an accident while he is filming for his upcoming movie "Maze Runner: The Death Cure." While it remains to be seen how the MTV series will be affected by O'Brien's injuries, various reports note on the possibility that someone else may take over his role in the show instead.

There are various possibilities cited for "Teen Wolf" Season 6 following Dylan O'Brien's accident on the set of "Maze Runner." According to Movie Pilot, the 24-year-old actor has reportedly sustained serious injuries, which prompted for a longer recovery time.

"His injuries are very serious, and he needs more time to recover," said O'Brien's publicist Jennifer Allen.

Filming for the final installment of the "Maze Runner" movie franchise has been postponed. It still remains to be seen, however, how O'Brien's injury will affect "Teen Wolf" Season 6.

According to the publication, there is a possibility that "Teen Wolf" Season 6 airdate may come at a later date. Showrunner Jeff Davis previously hinted that there will be a big Stiles-Lydia aka "Stydia" moment in the season premiere of the MTV drama.

Given this, it would make more sense to see "Teen Wolf" Season 6 pushed back to a later date instead of replacing Dylan O'Brien with another actor to play the role of Stiles Stilinski. Another report claims on the possibility that his character might be killed off instead.

Meanwhile, Tyler Posey also addressed rumors that he will be leaving "Teen Wolf" after Season 6, reports Enstarz. According to the actor, he does not have any plans of leaving the series.

There have been rumors that Liam will become the new "Teen Wolf" on the show. Scott, on the other hand, will take on the role of Tyler Hoechlin's character.
