'Star Wars VIII' Release Date, News & Update: Tom Hardy To Have A Role In New 'Star Wars' Film; What Could This Be?

There is a lot of anticipation for the upcoming 8^th episode or film franchise of the famous sci-fi film "Star Wars." Although "Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens" was just release not too long ago, fans are already thirsty for the sequel. The success of "Star Wars" can be based at the fact that it has one of the largest following or fan bases ever in the history of film, and not only that many of Hollywood stars right now have confessed to being "Star Wars" fans.

Not too long ago, it was revealed that many A-listers starred in "Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens" and although this roles had no lines, or were just really small cameos, actors are extremely happy to be part of "Star Wars". Star who were said to have played small parts in "Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens" included Daniel Craig, Simon Pegg, Ewan McGregor and Kevin Smith.

Now, rumors have it that another British A-lister is joining the roaster of star who will play a cameo in the new "Star Wars" film, this is none other than Oscar nominated actor, Tom Hardy. But what or who will Tom Hardy is playing in "Star Wars VIII," that is the question.

According to a "Star Wars" mega-fan, MakingStarWars, Tom Hardy will be playing a lowly storm trooper who is Finn's good friend. Furthermore MakingStarWars also listed the possible background story of Tom Hardy's Stoorm Trooper.

•  Said stormtrooper glimpses FN-2187 on a secret mission but doesn't realize it.
•  The "incognito" FN-2187 is surprised when the stormtrooper walks up behind him and slaps him on the ass.
•  FN-2187 turns around and believes he's dead. He's surely going to be captured.
•  The stormtrooper is elated to see his old friend from back during their First Order academy days.
•  The stormtrooper congratulates FN-2187 on his promotion to Resistance infiltrator and spy.
•  FN-2187 is free to go about his business to his amazement.

There is a possibility that Finn and Tom Hardy might meet in "Star Wars VIII" where the exchange between the two will be quite comedic. There is no confirmation as to the truth to this rumor but it would be very exciting to see Tom Hardy play a Storm Trooper in "Star Wars VIII".
