New Pairing Of The Month: Saturday Night Live Comedian Jenny Slate Is Dating Captain America Chris Evans

There's a new pairing in town that everyone's talking about. Following split from three-year-long husband, Dean Fleischer-Camp, Saturday Night Live Star Jenny Slate and Captain America Chris Evans are now dating.

While it's unlikely for a comedian to pair up with the stone-faced Captain America, the two met on the set of television drama, The Gifted, and the rest is Hollywood history. According to US Weekly, Jenny Slate and Chris Evans had been spotted last March dining together at Magnolia Hollywood on a double date with Chris Evans' brother. E! News reported that the two weren't on some major PDA, but it was obvious that they were a couple. Come next month, they were already gushing about each other at Anna Faris' Unqualified podcast. Apparently, Jenny Slate and Chris Evans never expected they'll be close but after some getting to know time, they were proven otherwise.

"I didn't know what to expect when I met Chris. I was a little scared because I kind of felt like, Well, I don't know him. He's a giant man with huge muscles and he's Captain America. How could we ever connect?" Jenny Slate said. "The first night that we hung out, I was like, wow, I could hang out with Chris for, like, 90 hours." Chris Evans echoed the feeling and said, "Oddly enough, I've only known Jenny for a few months, which is insane to say because we're like the same animal."

E! News says that Jenny Slate and Chris Evans seem to be in no rush and are taking things slowly but Captain America at 34 already wants to get hitched and have children. "You get to a point where you want the next thing. You see people who are just so happy and have great kids. It's one of those things you're looking forward to doing. You can't rush it, but that's definitely where I'm looking," he told E! News last year. Only time will tell if Jenny Slate is the one.

Based on People, Jenny Slate was first known as the writer and voice talent of viral video "Marcel The Shell With Shoes On," that she worked with ex-husband, film editor Dean Fleischer-Camp. The video has now over 27 million views. She then starred on Saturday Night Live from 2009 to 2010 which was followed by a role on Obvious Child where she played an unemployed comic. She and Dean Fleischer-Camp called it quits because they have grown apart, according to the Daily Mail. Chris Evans, on the other hand, just recently starred as Captain America on Marvel's Civil War and in the past, has dated Jessica Biel, Christina Ricci, Minka Kelly and Lily Collins.
