According to The Independent, the latest research revealed that a mother who carries four times the right amount of folate in the body after giving birth might make their child in danger of having birth defects. The newborn baby is more likely to develop a syndrome twofold related to autism while growing up.

The researchers from Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University revealed that high quantity of vitamin B12 in new mothers can triple the danger of acquiring autism or disorders. It has been known vitamin B12 is required to process the folate.

If both vitamin B12 and folate in a mother's body while giving birth are in high rate, the possibility of having autism will rise 17.6 folds. However, some experts question the actuality of the new study.
