Down syndrome: 'Don't worry, future mom' goes viral [VIDEO]

A video launched for World Down Syndrome Day sent out a tear-jerking message to would-be moms worried about what the diagnosis means for their son or daughter.

Entitled "Don't worry, future mom," the video features 15 young adult actors with Down syndrome, who explain the things they are able to do despite their condition.

The video begins with this statement: "On the 9th of February, we received this email from a future mom. 'I'm expecting a baby. I've discovered he has Down's syndrome. I'm scared: what kind of life will my child have?'"

A group of young people with Down syndrome each take turns explaining to the mother what her child will be able to accomplish.

"Dear future mom, don't be afraid. Your child will be able to do many things. He'll be able to hug you. He'll be able to run towards you. He'll be able to speak and tell you he loves you," they reassure her.

Created by Saatchi & Saatchi for CoorDown, the Italian Coordinator of the National Association of People with Down Syndrome, the video features young adults and children from all across Europe, including Sarah Gordy, who appeared in BBC1's "Call The Midwife."

"Sometimes it will be difficult. Very difficult. And Impossible. But isn't it like that for all mothers? Dear future mom, your child can be happy. Just like I am. And you'll be happy too," the video concluded.
