In a recent interview, di Montezemolo gave a glimpse into Michael Schumacher's health condition, saying the former F1 superstar has been "reacting." Unfortunately, di Montezemolo didn't explain further what he meant by "reacting," CNN reports.

"I'm very pleased to know that he is reacting," di Montezemolo told CNN's The Circuit at his office in Rome. In addition, the former Ferrari president also revealed that Michael Schumacher's mental strength is the key to his full recovery. Di Montezemolo's recent statements came after he described Schumacher's recovery in February as "not good."

"I know how strong he is," Di Montezemolo said. "I'm sure that thanks to his determination - which will be crucial - he will come out from this very, very difficult situation... And I really hope."

Aside from di Montezemolo, FIA president Jean Todt also echoed his sentiments regarding Michael Schumacher's determination and paid tribute to the German racer's grit. According to Todt, Schumacher was very talented, hardworking and humble, and he was hoping to see the most important driver in Ferrari history to make a comeback in the racing realm, Ecumenical News notes.

Speaking of Michael Schumacher's recovery, his spinal surgeon Peter Hamly said Schumacher's full recovery could take years. However, this did not stop diehard fans and supporters as well as his family to give up their hope on former racing champ's recovery.

Due to the media blackout, a Brazilian media panel claimed the lack of information regarding Michael Schumacher's condition means "hearsay" were being reported by the media. According to GrandPrix, journalists said the unofficial news about the German legend can't be ruled out.

"There are no more medical bulletins, so all we get is hearsay," Brazil's UOL journalist Gabriel Curty said. While another journalist, Flavio Gomes stated, "The life of anyone in this situation is fading and will end. It could be a matter of days, months or years,"

Meanwhile, 47-year-old Michael Schumacher continues to undergo an extensive rehabilitation program at a highly-secured and state-of-the-art custom built suite in his Geneva, Switzerland estate.
