‘Girl Meets World’ Season 3 Air Date & Spoilers: Riley And Farkle Romance Confirmed? Writers Tease Riley, Maya, Lucas Will Find A Relationship

"Girl Meets World" Season 3 promises to provide a resolution to the longstanding love triangle between Riley, Lucas and Maya. While the Disney series is just a month away from its return to the small screens, the show's writers recently hinted that these three characters will all find a relationship. "Girl Meets World" Season 3 has been revealed to be a "season of feelings." This meant that the Disney Channel series will finally address the longstanding love triangle between Riley (Rowan Blanchard), Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) and Lucas (Peyton Meyer).

While fans are already rooting for their respective teams in the love triangle - team "Rucas" for Lucas and Riley or "Lucaya" for Lucas and Maya, a recent post from the show's writers on Twitter seemingly hints that there was not a love triangle to begin with. The "Girl Meets World" writers shared that these three characters will "all find a relationship" in Season 3.

This led to speculations that Riley will instead be in a relationship with Farkle or the so-called "Riarkle" team. Others, however, noted that there are higher chances that Maya and Josh will be in a relationship since Maya has always expressed her feelings for Josh in "Girl Meets World."

While it remains to be seen which characters will be ending up together in "GMW" Season 3, an earlier interview from series creator Michael Jacobs with TheWrap revealed that the upcoming season will be more than just the love triangle. The showrunner told the publication that the relationship will only be a means to address bigger questions and problems that teens face.

"Girl Meets World" Season 3 premieres this June 2016 on Disney.
