Gwen Stefani shared her inspiration behind the rare no makeup selfie she posted on her Instagram account last week. According to the "No Doubt" singer, she was simply trying to take a cute picture to send to her boyfriend, Blake Shelton.

"I was just like laying there, I just got in bed and I was like, 'Maybe I'll send a picture to Blake,'" she told PEOPLE at the 102.7 KIIS FM's 2016 Wango Tango. "You just start doing like fooling around with it. I had actually a new camera on my phone and I just took that picture." Gwen Stefani shared the snap with no caption on Thursday to her 4 million followers.

"The Voice" coach may have been known for her bold lip colors and matching futuristic do, but the rare au naturel shot of herself captured her flawless and timeless beauty. Not only does she look vulnerably pretty without her makeup, but Gwen Stefani also didn't bother to arrange her tousled locks, making her look more disarming.

Gwen Stefani's fans were quick to admire her natural beauty. They flooded "The Underneath It All" singer's post with her ageless beauty as she looked decades younger than her 46 years, Metro UK reported.

When Gwen Stefani was asked what her secret to her timeless beauty are, she answered "You know what? I haven't really been working on my physical appearance." She then proceeded to explain that she was working on her spirituality, trying to feel grateful and considerate. She simply tries to live her life at the moment. "That's awesome, because I've been working really hard on that," Stefani finished off.
