Donald Trump: Republican Runs For President For Profit? Self-Funded Campaign NOT True; Jennifer Lawrence Has Two Words For Trump

Donald Trump is leading the race for the White House. In fact, he is very proud for funding his own campaign. However, according to new reports, this is not true.

Trump Proud To Fund His Own Campaign

The American businessman turned politician has all the means to fund his campaign because he has the money. In a tweet, eight months ago, Donald Trump wrote, "By self-funding my campaign, I am not controlled by my donors, special interests or lobbyists. I am only working for the people of the U.S.!"

While his words are impressive, according to Politicususa, it is misleading and a complete lie. The majority of his funds was the money he loaned to his campaign and he can still recover it later. In addition, almost $3 million of his campaign expenditures went to companies he either owned or is connected to.

In fact, it seemed that he is using the White House race for a profit. The former reality show told Fortune in 2000, "It's very possible that I could be the first presidential candidate to run and make money on it."

Meanwhile, the New York Times reported that Sheldon Adelson, a casino magnate is willing to shed money to elect the presumptive Republican presidential candidate. Adelson is impressed with Trump's experience and skills.

"He is a candidate with actual CEO experience, shaped and molded by the commitment and risk of his own money rather than the public's," Adelson wrote. He also added that Trump "has created a movement in this country that cannot be denied." The two Republicans have already met last week.

Jennifer Lawrence Not A Trump Supporter

Many are hoping that Donald Trump will restore the glory of America, but "The Hunger Games" star Jennifer Lawrence is not one of them. Lawrence appeared on "The Graham Norton Show" with Johnny Depp and her "X-Men: Apocalypse" co-star James McAvoy where she disclosed that she was close to meeting Trump in person.

"I was at a concert that I heard he was attending. So I had my full security, I was like, 'Find Donald Trump'," she said per Entertainment Weekly. "I was adamant on finding him and making a video of me going, 'Hey, Trump. F- you!'"

Jennifer Lawrence believes that if Donald Trump becomes the next president of the United States it will be "the end of the world." There is no doubt that the "Joy" star will not be voting for Trump.

What do you think of Lawrence remarks towards Donald Trump? Do you support her theories that Trump will not be a good president or do you think the same way? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
