An emotional finish is at hand with the "Chicago Med" Season 1 season finale called "Timing." A series of heartbreaking events and conflicts involving Dr. Connor Rhodes (Colin Donnell), Dr. David Downey (Gregg Henry), Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) and nurse April Sexton (Yaya DaCosta) will change the characters' lives forever.

Rhodes' Life-Changing Decision

One of the most highly-anticipated events of the "Chicago Med" Season 1 finale is Dr. Connor Rhodes dealing with his terminally ill mentor, Dr. David Downey. Downey is suffering from his liver cancer which has spread to his brain and has caused chest bleeding.

For this reason, Downey will ask Rhodes to end his life and his pain in the "Chicago Med" Season 1 finale, according to TV Guide. However, Rhodes is very much conflicted and torn between ending the suffering of his mentor and following the law and his oath as a doctor.

Halstead & April V. Bad Patient

The "Chicago Med" Season 1 finale will also feature Dr. Will Halstead and nurse April Sexton dealing with an aggressive and disorderly patient. The dangerous patient will even knock down April with a big punch.

"It's really, really some exciting stuff," Yaya DaCosta told International Business Times about the "Chicago Med" Season 1 finale. The actress-model also described the series writers as the best writers in the business. But although getting punched and knocked down by a patient is a terrible event, the incident will turn out as a blessing in disguise for nurse April.

'Chicago Fire' Character Transfers To 'Chicago Med'

Another exciting moment to keep your eyes glued on in the "Chicago Med" Season 1 finale is the arrival of Jeff Clarke (Jeff Hephner). He was a former firefighter who appeared in the NBC series "Chicago Fire" during the second season. However, he is now a medical student about to make a big impact in this spin-off show.
