Hugh Jackman Wolverine Set To Go Full Berserker Mode In 'X-Men: Apocalypse'

There have been several rumors about Wolverine's cameo in "X-Men: Apocalypse" despite all the denials from the cast and crew that Hugh Jackman will not appear in the movie. Now director Bryan Singer and producer Simon Kinberg have both assured the fact that Wolverine will have a special participation in "X-Men: Apocalypse" and the adamantium-clawed mutant will be on full Berserker Mode!

Bryan Singer On Wolverine

The "X-Men: Apocalypse" director recently spoke to HeyUGuys, where he confirmed that Hugh Jackman's character will be completely different in the film. "What's really nice about his cameo is that he's the Wolverine you've never seen before," Singer teased.

In addition to that, Bryan Singer hinted that Wolverine could be at his most dangerous state in the movie. "He's truly Weapon X," the "X-Men: Apocalypse" director stated, referring to comic book government project that turns mutants into killing machines.

Simon Kinberg On Wolverine

It's no surprise that the Wolverine that will appear in "X-Men: Apocalypse" is kind of rabid. After all, the movie appears to be staying with the "X-Men: Days of Future Past" timeline. However, producer Simon Kinberg told HeyUGuys that they had initially struggled with Wolverine's cameo in the film.

After several discussions, Simon Kinberg shared that they decided that Hugh Jackman should play a feral Wolverine fresh out of the Weapon X facility. "You'd see something that you've never really seen in these movies before which is the full on, out of control, animalistic, stripped down Wolverine," Kinberg said.

The "X-Men: Apocalypse" Final Trailer

The final trailer for "X-Men: Apocalypse" showed the mutants in the Weapon X facility somehow defeating dozens of baddies. When Raven/Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) comments that her younger companions have been busy, Scott Summers/Cyclops (Tye Sheridan) nervously responds that they had a little help. Fans were then treated with a glimpse of Wolverine's claws as he approaches more bad guys. Watch the full trailer for "X-Men: Apocalypse, which hit the theaters on May 28.
