‘Quantico’ Season 2 Air Date & Spoilers: Simon Returns? Alex Joins The CIA

"Quantico" recently concluded its first season on TV, which saw the death of one well-loved character and the revelation as to who was responsible for the terrorist attacks. In a recent interview with Josh Safran, the series creator revealed some exciting details in the upcoming season of the ABC drama.

"Quantico" Season 1 finale episode titled "Yes" revealed that Liam (Josh Hopkins) was the person responsible for the terrorist attacks. In an even more surprising twist, it was also shown that Claire (Marcia Cross) was working together with him in order to secure her spot in the election.

Unfortunately, fans also had to say goodbye to Simon (Tate Ellington) in the "Quantico" finale. However, fans may still see him in Season 2.

In a recent interview with series Josh Safran, he told TVGuide.com that there is still a possibility to see Simon back in "Quantico" Season 2. Before fans could react violently, though, Safran told the publication that Simon is dead and may only return as part of flashbacks.

"But if they [Josh Hopkins and Tate Ellington] were available and wanted to come back for flashbacks, I would love to have them," shared Safran. "Definitely Simon is very part of Alex's mental state and mindset."

"Quantico" Season 2 will also see Alex (Priyanka Chopra) joining the CIA. Safran explained to the publication that it would be interesting to see how the CIA and FBI differ from each other and at the same time, how these two would work together.

Meanwhile, Carter Matt reports on some of the things most fans would like to see in "Quantico" Season 2. According to the publication, it would be interesting to see the story have a clearer villain at the beginning of the show, instead of revealing it in the end. Will Claire be the next Big Bad?

"Quantico" Season 2 premieres this fall on ABC.
