Harley Quinn has been introduced in the 90s as the assistant and girlfriend of Joker, played by Jared Leto in "Suicide Squad." She remained in the mainstream as she became a known DC character and left an impression, International Business Times reported.

Hence, Margot Robbie gets interested in playing the role. To recall, the Australian actress revealed that she likes characters that play an important part in a movie and its story and not really depending on its male counterpart.

Meanwhile, DC comics stay behind Marvel in regards to doing superhero movies. DC and Marvel have the same universe that continuously release their respective epic film, but the initial is being criticized and compared to the latter, as per Refinery29.

DC and Marvel, too, have an enlarging gap in the box office. Some said that Marvel can easily surpass the earnings of DC in spite of having Ben Affleck and Zack Snyder in their latest movie.

But, DC can be better than Marvel for having a representation of women superheroes, which is not often seen in Marvel. DC has a number of renowned women superheroes and villains that earned it a high number of female readers and fan base.
