"The Big Bang Theory" is currently on hiatus after airing its season 9 finale last week. However, fans are already clamoring for "The Big Bang" Season 10. According to reports, a new character will join the cast to play as Penny's (Kaley Cuoco) mom.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 9 ended with Leonard and Penny planning about their renewal of vow. The finale was surprising and funny as it featured Leonard's single dad Alfred (Judd Hirsch) and Sheldon's mom, Mary (Laurie Metcalf) flirting with each other. The two ended at the same hotel and in the same room after the pre-wedding dinner party.

Everyone knows what the pair did together and you don't have to guess it. The episode ended with Leonard and Sheldon recoiling the mental picture of their parents doing the deed, TV Line reported.

Lisa Kudrow To Play As Penny's Mom In 'Big Bang Theory' season 10

Since Penny will be getting married again, there are rumors that "The Big Bang Theory" season 10 will introduce her mom. According to Design & Trend, Lisa Kudrow might be playing Penny's mom in the upcoming episode.

Cuoco believes that the "Friends" star, Kudrow is perfect to play her mom in "The Big Bang Theory." She added that she is a huge fan of the actress, so working with her would be a "selfish wish" granted.

"I don't know what they're going to do, but I have always thought - and I hope this doesn't offend her because I know she is super young, though we know Penny's mom got knocked up very early - that Lisa Kudrow would be so perfect. I've said that for years. I think it would be hilarious, plus I am a huge fan of hers, so it's a selfish wish," Cuoco explained.

However, the casting is not final yet. "It's a little early to say for sure," "The Big Bang Theory" showrunner Steven Molaro told TV Line. "But we would very much like to meet Penny's mom" in Leonard and Penny's renewal of vow ceremony.
