"Hawaii Five-0" Season 7 may deal with the possibility of seeing Chin become a father in the upcoming season. Before fans get too excited over the thought that Chin and Abby will be expecting their child, Entertainment Weekly reports on Chin becoming the father of Gabriel's child instead.

As seen in "Hawaii Five-0" Season 6 finale, Gabriel (Christopher Sean) died after getting shot. McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) and Danny (Scott Caan) fail to save him just in time and the former even went through a near-death experience.

In an interview with showrunner Peter M. Lenkow, it was revealed that Chin's journey to sudden parenthood will become one of the major arcs in "Hawaii Five-0" Season 7. The executive producer also hinted on the possibility of a happy ending between the two characters.

"I want these people to be happy, because they've become my family, too," he said.

Lenkov also told the publication that he hopes to bring Catherine back in "Hawaii Five-0" Season 7. The showrunner explained that he initially planned to get her to the Season 6 finale, but changed his mind after realizing that it may be a bit similar to last season's scenario.

Carter Matt also hopes to see more crossover events for "Hawaii Five-0" in Season 7. It may also be interesting to see more guest stars appear in the show for the upcoming season.

The show also notes on the possibility that Masi Oka will be returning to "Hawaii Five-0" Season 7 since his character left in Season 6. Several fans are also wondering whether there would be any major character departures in the upcoming season.
