Marwyn The Mage Has Revelation To Daenerys In 'The Winds of Winter'

Marwyn, an archmaester of the Citadel and an odd bird might be playing a bigger role in "The Winds of Winter." According to iDigital Times, Marwyn adopted the "Marwyn the Mage" moniker after his colleague made fun of his interest in magic and sorcery but he takes it all the more seriously.

George RR Martin introduced Marwyn in "A Feast for Crows" where Sam Tarly arrived and told him about the Others and everything he witnessed in the north of the Wall. Marwyn then decided to go to Mereen to tell Daenerys about his knowledge. Per the report, readers will find Marwyn's next adventure in "The Winds of Winter."

Per the report, Marwyn is bringing with him strange artifacts, demeanor and knowledge. He has a glass candle, an ancient Valyrian artifact that works similar to a palantir. It has not worked for a hundred of years but it has lit up again, suggesting that the powers that have been dormant for centuries are now awake. Marwyn has to inform Daenerys about this and readers will find it in "The Winds of Winter".

At the time, Daenerys goal is to conquer Westeros and she has no knowledge about the threat beyond the wall. Marwyn will tell Daenerys that the Others are an existential threat to Westeros. Marwyn will help Daenrys become a hero instead of a tyrant.

'The Winds of Winter' Out In The Second Half Of 2016

Meanwhile, Jobs & Hire reported that "The Winds of Winter" might arrive in the second half of the year. However, fans should still take these reports with a grain of salt because George RR Martin has not announced an official release date for "TWOW" yet.

Parent Herald reported that Martin did not like the reports claiming that "The Winds of Winter" will be released in May. "Complete crap, yes. Who makes up these stories? " Martin said, in response to a fan who asked if "TWOW" will be released in May.
