Former Miami Dolphin Ricky Williams Helps Launch Marijuana-Friendly Gym In San Francisco

In his post-football life, Ricky Williams is now embarking on a very interesting new career. The all-time favorite former NFL running back and marijuana enthusiast is teaming up with a cannabis industry entrepreneur to open a marijuana-friendly gym in San Francisco.

According to a news article on CBS Local, Jim McAlpine, the person responsible for co-creating the 420 Games said the new marijuana-friendly gym will be called Power Plant Fitness. McAlpine is opening the marijuana-friendly gym together with retired NFL star Ricky Williams who had been suspended for a number of times by the league over his marijuana use.

Interested members will be required to go through a cannabis performance assessment in order to determine the quantity of marijuana they can take before working out. In addition, members are allowed to eat vape and edibles at the gym. "It won't be a place to get high and just screw around," said Jim McAlpine. "We are focused on the athletic side, not the cannabis side," he further added as cited on NBC Sports.  "We will be helping our members figure out how is best for them to ingest their cannabis," McAlpine concluded.

There is no word as of now if McAlpine and Williams will likewise be opening a Taco Bell next door. The marijuana-friendly gym is expected to open this fall.
