'The Blacklist' Season 4 Spoilers: Red Understands Why Liz Fakes Her Death; Tom Keen To Appear In The Parent Series And Its Spinoff

"The Blacklist" is currently on hiatus and we might not be hearing anything about the TV series until September. However, one of the things that fans are looking forward to "The Blacklist" season 4 is Liz Keen (Megan Boone) and Red's (James Spader) relationship. Will the father and daughter be okay after Liz faked her death?

Red And Liz To Reconcile In 'The Blacklist' Season 4

Red had gone through mixed emotions in "The Blacklist" season 3 finale. He was relieved that Liz was alive, but he felt betrayed that Liz and Mr. Kate Kaplan did not include him in their scheme. Things got worse when they arrived at the place where they expected to see Liz and found that things were not in order as if it had been attacked and yes it was.

When asked about Red and Liz's relationship in "The Blacklist" Season 4, James Spader hinted that there would be a reunion or reconciliation because his character understands her. "Listen, Liz has pushed Red away many times before and he's always waited patiently in the wings. So despite the fact that she's gone to extreme lengths to get away from him, I don't think he'll be changing," Spader told Entertainment Weekly.

Spader believes that Red would understand Liz's predicament in "The Blacklist" Season 4. He explained that Red is not insensitive and he is aware that she is conscious of his feelings about everything that happened to them lately. "I think he would have an understanding for what led to this," he explained.

Tom Keen To Appear In 'The Blacklist' Season 4 And Its Spinoff

It is official, "The Blacklist" will have a spinoff titled "The Blacklist: Redemption." Per Parent Herald, if the parent series talks about Red and Liz, the spinoff will be about Tom Keen and his mom, Scottie. For those wondering if Tom will still be part of "The Blacklist" now that he will star in its spin-off, the answer is yes.

In an interview with Today, Ryan Eggold, who is playing Tom Keen in "The Blacklist" revealed that the show is figuring out how to make his character go back and forth in the parent series and its spinoff. So, fans should not worry because he will not be leaving Liz and their daughter.

The "Blacklist" Season 4 is expected to return in September.
