The hit anime series, "Attack on Titan" is so popular that many are looking forward to its return. Unfortunately, the wait will be longer because according to reports, "Attack on Titan" Season 2 is delayed and might be the last in the series.

'Attack On Titan' Season 2 Delayed

"Attack on Titan" Season 2 is initially expected to premiere later this year but according to news reports, the second season has been pushed back. Game N Guide reported that the anime series has a new air date.

Kodansha announced that "Attack on Titan" Season 2 would return in January 2017. The producers admitted that there are two major reasons for the delay. First, the "Attack on Titan" director has a full plate and is busy with other TV and film project. Second, the manga is still in the works.

However, apart from these two, another source claimed that the huge differences between the manga and the anime are another factor that causes the delay per Movie News Guide. With too many dissimilarities from the original manga, "Attack on Titan" Season 2 might become a different series.

There is no doubt that many are waiting for "Attack on Titan" Season 2 but aside from the prolonged wait, there are rumors that this will be the last season of the franchise.

Yibada reported that "Attack on Titan" Season 2 would be the last season. Although fans don't like this report, this should not bother them too much either because it is not confirmed yet. "Attack on Titan" Season 2 may or may not be the final season in the franchise.

Per GameNGuide, there are rumors that "Attack on Titan" will feature the story arcs of "Clash of the Titans" and "Uprising Arcs." However, although these plots are great, the production team has not confirmed any of these, as of yet. Thus, fans should still take this report with a grain of salt.
