It is indeed one fiery first-anniversary celebration for "ARK: Survival Evolved!" The reason? Well, let's just say that Studio Wildcard is launching a new patch, a new boss and new creatures into the game to commemorate the special event.
There are a lot of reasons to celebrate in "ARK: Survival Evolved" realm. Despite the fact that "ARK: Survival Evolved" will not be released until later this 2016, specifically during the holiday season, the newly added features in the game are more than enough reasons to celebrate the game's first anniversary.
'ARK: Survival Evolved' Is Turning One
To celebrate "ARK: Survival Evolved" anniversary, Studio Wildcard reportedly launched its latest 242 update. According to The Escapist, the new patch will include a "week-long birthday event," where gamers will find birthday cakes and candles starting June 2, Thursday.
After blowing out each candle, players will be able to see a special birthday message with a corresponding birthday gift. Players will receive this exclusive presents, which may include party hats and "Birthday Suits."
The Birthday Suits will make the character in "ARK: Survival Evolved" appear stark naked. That's why the private parts of the characters will be censor-pixelated.
'ARK: Survival Evolved' 242 Patch
On Wednesday, Jun. 1, Studio Wildcard released "ARK: Survival Evolved" 242 patch. The latest major update reportedly brought a series of excitingly interesting tweaks, improvements as well as brand new creatures into the game, Daily Express notes.
'ARK Survival Evolved' New Creatures
"ARK: Survival Evolved" 242 patch has added two new creatures into the game - the Diplodocus Insulaprincep and the Haementeria laetus aka the disease-carrying leech or bloodsucker, Mobile & Apps reveals. As for its description, the diplodocus is one of the smaller sauropods in the Island that takes pride in its speed and endurance.
Once tamed, the diplodocus can carry ten passengers on its back. But it is also reportedly a "strange creature" who doesn't fight back even if it's repeatedly attacked. The untamable leech, on the other hand, is a bloodsucker that can only be removed with fire or a blade but its venom can be used as a potent antidote.
Fire-Breathing Monster Comes To 'ARK: Survival Evolved'
The weeklong birthday celebration of "ARK: Survival Evolved" is also launching the major addition into the game. The game's 242 patch deployed the new Dragon Boss Fight and the Dragon Arena, where players are allowed to fight a fire-breathing creature or a Dragon, VG24/7 reports.
