Josephine Gillan was a wannabe star who was a sex worker before becoming famous on the much-acclaimed TV show, Game of Thrones. Gillan claims that this hit TV series has truly saved her from the life of prostitution, a proof that Game of Thrones is literally life-changing.

Game of Thrones, based on George R.R. Martin's best-selling book series, has undeniably received countless of hate over the years because of its graphic sex scenes as well as its brazen approach to nudity, most especially when it comes to its female characters according to a news report on The Sun.

The 26 year-old actress star played Marei in the HBO fantasy drama. Gillan revealed a shocking truth in an interview as she talked about her journey from being a sex worker to serious actress. "Game of Thrones saved me from a life of prostitution, and has made me a much stronger person," Gillan said. Gillan finally revealed that she worked as a prostitute while making adult films under a different name when she fortunately saw the advert for the show which she considered as her escape. She got lucky to have been chosen as one of the characters as cited on UPROXX.
