'No Man's Sky' News & Update: Release Pushed 2 Days Earlier; What You Should Know

Players waiting for the release of "No Man's Sky" were upset when it was announced that the game would be delayed for at least two months. This prompted rabid fans to send death threats directed at Sean Murray, the developer's founder, to express their disappointment. Worse, the games release dates would be staggered from Aug. 9 (North America), Aug. 10 (Europe) and Aug. 12 (U.K.).  However, PlayStation just revealed a bit of good news for its U.K. players as they will be able to play "No Man's Sky" two days than originally scheduled.

Posting the update on Twitter, PlayStation confirmed that U.K. gamers will be enjoying the game at the same time as the rest of Europe on Aug. 10 instead of Aug. 12.  While the small difference in the change in dates might not be a big deal, for eager players of "No Man's Sky," this is a huge and welcome development. There's a lot a player can do within the two days that will put other gamers ahead of the pack. It matters greatly because some fans have even planned their strategies even as the game has yet to be released. The excitement has truly been building up.

"No Man's Sky" is going to be released for PS4 and PC players only. It won't be available for the Xbox One, despite Microsoft reportedly eager to have the game in their library, per Game Rant. The game is not yet listed on Steam for PC players, but as with usual releases, "No Man's Sky" is expected to be ready for download at 12:01 a.m. on the dates of its release.

However, if you are getting the game via the PlayStation store, expect this to be pre-loaded with a countdown clock reminding you of the time the game will be live for download. Thus, you can get the game even if you're asleep, as long as you set this to queue and leave your console on. Take note that pre-orders are going to start June 21, per the official site.

"No Man's Sky" takes place in a galaxy where players can travel from one planet to another. They will be able to unlock and stake their claim at discoveries, improve on their spacecraft, weapons and armors, as well as level up to their abilities.

Visually, the game is so detailed, which explains why the anticipation for "No Man's Sky" has increased. Below is a video of its 15 best features that gamers cannot wait to try out:
