'The Originals' Season 4 Spoilers, News & Update: Major Deaths From Last Season Continues; Marcel Not A Villain But A Leader In The New Season

The "The Vampires Diaries" spinoff, "The Originals" is currently on hiatus. However, fans can't help but talk about it following its surprising finale in the last season. According to reports, "The Originals" Season 4 will continue the major death trends that started in season 3.

More Major Deaths In 'The Originals' Season 4

"The Originals" Season 3 was grim and dark. Cami and Davina faced their demise. Marcel also bit Elijah, which resulted in more problems and commotions. The last season ended with the Mikaelsons in grave danger.

According to Christian Post, the major death trend that has started in season 3 will continue in "The Originals" Season 4. Thus, one or more of the Mikaelsons might bid goodbye to the series.

Parent Herald reported that Haley and her daughter with Klaus, Hope will be the heroes in "The Originals" Season 4. The mother and daughter will do their best to save the Mikaelsons.

Marcel The New Villain In 'The Originals' Season 4

Meanwhile, many believe that Marcel is the new bad guy in the "The Originals" Season 4 after he conquers the Mikaelsons and takes New Orleans. According to Michael Narducci, Marcel will be the most powerful creature in the land but it is still Marcel Gerard. The "The Originals" showrunner believes that Marcel has a valid point in all he does.

"He's done what he's done, and how he'll have to figure out how to live with himself and rule New Orleans. He's not possessed or evil or a monster by any stretch," he told TV Line.

There is no doubt that Narducci has a huge faith in Marcel's character. He even explained that he never thought the character to be a villain but a leader.

"I have never once thought of Marcel as a villain," Narducci told TV Guide. "He has his own code of honor. He wants what's best for the city of New Orleans even if that means he's got to punish and execute the people that would try to disrupt the peace that he has established. He is a leader."
