Kit Harington's Latest Role is in a Video Game? The "Game of Thrones" Star Set to Appear in "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare"

Kit Harington is a fairly experienced actor with multiple awards and nominations to his name, having appeared on television, the silver screen, and even the theater stage. But now, he will tackle quite a different role: voicing and providing motion capture for a video game character in Activision's upcoming first-person shooter "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare."

Reports from Bustle state that Harington will play one of the antagonists in the upcoming video game with "Infinite Warfare's" narrative director Taylor Kurosaki saying he will represent "the embodiment of the enemy, the Settlement Defense Front." Kurosaki appeared ecstatic that Harington was among the cast of the video game, as he praised the actor's capabilities.

News about Harington's role in the video game first surfaced when Mashable put out an article about the game including a video of the "Game of Thrones" star in a motion capture ("mocap") suit. However, Harington is not the first big name to be associated with the latest offering in the popular Call of Duty series. Guy Ritchie is also linked to the project, rumored to be helping form Harington's character.

"Game of Thrones" may want to check out "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" because of Harington's involvement. In spite of the ever increasing names being linked to Activision's latest first-person shooter video game, many fans do not seem receptive to it as seen in the number of dislikes the trailer for the game has received. They argue that the futuristic sci-fi setting is too much of a step away from the game's roots.

A teaser trailer introducing the Settlement Defense Front was recently released and it shows just how truly they are. The organization set out to destroy the world is not messing about when it comes to being intimidating. "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" is set to be released on Nov. 4.
