CNN reports that the speculations were sparked when The Sun released photos of Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston on their site, round about 5 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday. The headline also disclosed these words, "World Exclusive."

Moreover, Dan Wootton, an associate editor who oversees The Sun's site explained to CNN that the hunch was pulled off due to genuine elements of the photos.
