'Scream Queens' Season 2 Release Date, News & Update: Premiere Announced For Chanel Oberlin, Chanels Return? Mystery Doctor #1 Comes From 'Glee?'

"Scream Queens Season 2" casting lines up one "Glee" actor to play one of the mystery doctors expected to join Chanel Oberlin (Emma Roberts) and her Chanels (Lea Michele, Keke Palmer, Billie Lourd, Abigail Breslin). Kappa Kappa Tau star Chanel Oberlin will take the horror from Wallace University of S1 onto an all new mental asylum setting in "Scream Queens Season 2."

Chanel Oberlin, Chanel No. 3 (Billie Lourd) and Chanel No. 5 (Abigail Breslin) were last seen committed to a mental asylum after being framed for the serial murders of the Red Devil in "Scream Queens Season 1." "Scream Queens Season 2" will pick up where S1 left off, hence the mental asylum setting.

Expectations heightened after one of the mystery doctors of "Scream Queens Season 2" turned out to be "Glee" actor John Stamos. Screen Rant points out that John Stamos should feel right at home in "Scream Queens Season 2" as Dr Brock Holt after having played Dr Carl Howell in "Glee."

Deadline Hollywood recalls that John Stamos did another turn as a doctor before "Glee" when he played Dr Tony Gates in "ER." John Stamos as Dr Brock Holt reportedly is the head surgeon in "Scream Queens Season 2" mental asylum, and who fittingly seems to hold deep, dire secrets.

Word is scarce on the other new doctors in "Scream Queens Season 2," whom Keke Palmer says fans wanted to be Harry Styles and Justin Bieber. Chanel Oberlin actress Emma Roberts, on the hand, is fairly certain that fans will love the "Scream Queens Season 2" newbies.

7 News - Fox 28 reports that the "Scream Queens Season 2" fall schedule has been announced for Tuesday from 9:00-10:00 pm ET/PT, with a premiere date of September 20. Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Abigail Breslin, Lea Michele, Keke Palmer and John Stamos will be joined by co-stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Niecy Nash and Chad Radwell in "Scream Queens Season 2."
