'The Blacklist' Season 4 Release Date, News and Update: Villain In Liz Keen's Life Will Not Be Alexander Kirkman?

"The Notebook" actor Ulrich Thomsen as Alexander Kirkman seems poised to bring havoc and danger to "Sex And The City 2" actress Megan Boone as Liz Keen and her loved ones when "The Blacklist" Season 4 premieres. However, "The Blacklist" Season 3 finale may have painted the picture deceptively and Liz Keen will have another villain to face and it won't be Alexander Kirkman aka Constantine Rostova.

Cinema Blend points out a curious perspective on the matter of Red Reddington, played by "Avengers Of Ultron" actor James Spader, in "The Blacklist" Season 4. In Season 3, "The Blacklist" plot saw Liz Keen betray Red Reddington and the Post Office team when the FBI profiler faked her death.

The conflict between Liz Keen and Red Reddington supposedly came to a head and "The Blacklist" Season 3 saw her take the drastic measure to free herself from Red Reddington. However, neither Liz Keen nor Red Reddington counted on Alexander Kirk finding the whereabout of Masha Rostova (Liz's old name) leading to the "The Blacklist" cliffhanger.

Such an end to "The Blacklist" Season 3 would lead viewers to believe that Liz Keen would let Red Reddington be the cavalry that stages her rescue or that Red Reddington is the person Liz Keen relies on to locate her child Agnes and her husband Tom Keen in "The Blacklist" Season 4.

According to Cinema Blend, the plot for "The Blacklist" Season 4 could not be so simple. Given the lengths Liz Keen went to get away from Red Reddington, Cinema Blend points out, would the show simply have her run back to the former criminal mastermind?

The media outlet then suggests that perhaps Alexader Kirk surfaced to save Liz Keen from certain danger in "The Blacklist" Season 4. Danger to Liz Keen, Tom and Agnes in "The Blacklist" Season 4 may be in the form of Red Reddington and Alexander Kirkman is their doomed hero.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Megan Boone defined the nature of Red Reddington in relation to Liz Keen. "Once she became aware that his actions always sprang from self-interest, his interest in her became less and less flattering," Megan Boone said.

Megan Boone, James Spader and Ulrich Thomsen will unveil the real score among Liz Keen, Red Reddington and Alexander Kirkman when "The Blacklist" Season 4 returns. NBC will being airing "The Blacklist" Season 4 this fall.
