HBO Now's Epic Fail During 'Game Of Thrones' Season 6 Episode 9 Sparks Outrage

It's almost down to that "Game of Thrones" Season 6 finale, but fans of the HBO dark fantasy series had been, well, not so happy over the glitch that left hundreds of angry tweets on the HBO Now Twitter site. Varys' little birds for quick responses from the streaming service were a bit absent during that moment, and everyone was on a helpless edge on their seats, Mirror UK reported.

Lots of fiery comments hounded HBO Now's social media ground when the truly unexpected happened: the Battle of The Bastards, which was episode 9 of the highly-watched "Game of Thrones" series, went dark for more than a few minutes. Sansa Stark and Jon Snow's much awaited battle with Ramsay Bolton in that dire attempt to retake their home,Winterfell, had been in the play through several sneak previews already.

That said, the HBO Now live streaming app triggered the ire of its users as everyone anxiously waited to witness whether Jon Snow and Sansa Stark makes it, or if Ramsay Bolton still remains control over Winterfell. Tweets ultimately flooded the streaming service's site, like this:

Sure, illegitimate noblemen trying to settle their rights and dueling to the death in that "Game of Thrones" Season 6 episode was one of many weekly fixes no one wants to miss. And that was unexpectedly awesome to wait for via HBO Now.

However, HBO Now un-angrily acknowledged the ongoing issue and went ahead to get it resolved by 10:12 p.m. ET through their Twitter account. Still, complaints of failed streams jammed and criticized the service, as well as a bunch of puns.

Well, for those who were lucky enough to actually see the complete episode in HBO Now sans glitching, it sure was a violent end for Ramsay Bolton. And a gut-wrenching loss for Jon Snow and Sansa Stark, as their younger brother, Rickon, got killed with an arrow whilst running towards his siblings across the battleground.
