'The Secret Life of Pets' Star Jenny Slate and Chris Evans Confirmed Dating; Captain America Actor Present in The Red Carpet Premiere for Support

Chris Evans has confirmed his relationship with Jenny Slate when they first made their public appearance on the red carpet at "The Secret Life of Pets" movie premiere in New York City, arriving together on Saturday, June 25. It's been rumored that The Captain America actor was dating the 34-year-old actress and comedian for a month after working together on the upcoming movie, Gifted.

The couple didn't pose for any photos on the red carpet but did take an adorable picture inside the theater. The couple posed arm-in-arm at the premiere of her new animated film at NYC's Lincoln Center. Jenny Slate looked stunning in a red lace Huishan Zhang dress while Chris Evans, 34, - came along to show his support and posed for pictures with Jenny - kept it casual in a light polo, black pants, and a navy blue baseball cap.

Jenny gushed about Chris in an Entertainment Tonight interview that it's nice to have someone who knows how a large premiere goes since it's her first time. She was quoted saying "It's kind of like I got my dream 7^th-grade boyfriend" and they've been friends for a while, the actress adorably confirmed.

Both stars grew up from Massachusetts just half an hour from each other but just met recently. She opened up about her first impression of the Hollywood hunk during an interview in April doubting they'd ever connect because Chris is Captain America but to her surprise, they hung out longer than expected - "like 90 hours," she said.

In the joint interview, Chris Evans appeared to respond Jenny's feelings saying they're like "the same animal," even though they've only known each other for a few months, as per Stuff. The couple started dating shortly after Jenny Slate's from filmmaker husband of three years, Dean Fleischer-Camp early in May, Us Weekly revealed. The actress and comedian noted that their split wasn't a bad one, they simply grew apart.

The "Secret Life Of Pets" the movie will hit theater on July 8. Jenny Slate and Chris Evans will star together in the upcoming drama Gifted with Octavia Spencer. Slate shared an Instagram video which Evans took bringing their nieces and nephews, making the event a family affair.
