Breastfeeding Mothers: Fathers Play A Big Role in Extending Support To Moms Who Breastfeed

A breastfeeding photo posted on Facebook showed one of the many ways a dad can support  breastfeeding mothers. The photo went viral on Wednesday showing Emily Webber having the loveliest day of her life when she took a photo of her husband blow-drying her hair while she was busy breastfeeding their baby. The husband got a lot of praise mainly from Emily who was very proud.

The father in the photo clearly stepped up showing that dads can do more for breastfeeding moms. For sure, every father knows there's no other way to calm a baby down unless mommy soothes him or her with breastfeeding.

For a husband, like the one Emily Webber has, who is willing to step out of his comfort zone and offer whatever is necessary to assist his wife, such act attracts praises and support all over the media. The photo was captioned: "True love is blow drying her hair while she breastfeeds because you don't have a whole lot of time so you kill two birds with one stone!" The photo and the caption proves that nothing is more time-consuming than raising kids, and that looking good becomes the last thing on a mother's  priority list. Parenting is a team effort and it entails a lot of support to make life at home easier. Your husband should be your best bet for breastfeeding support and your aide for rest of the child-rearing process, according to Scary Mommy.

Parenting advises that as a team, fathers can give a most common breastfeeding support which is taking part of the graveyard shift. Letting Mom do all the work from morning until night time can just add up to the anxiety and stress she is going through. Giving her a hand also gives her that much needed break. Calming the baby while she tends to other things, is already a great form of relief. Finally, husbands should tell their wives that she is great as mothers are vulnerable to the idea of not giving enough for their babies so remember that giving her a lift with a simple encouragement does wonders. This will create a whole lot of difference in the nurturing capacity of a mother and the warmth she gives at home.
