Fans have been clamoring for a Casey and Dawson wedding, and rumors are now hinting that show execs might be pushing through with it. As executive producer Matt Olmstead told TV Line, they have been exploring the idea of Casey and Dawson's wedding for "Chicago Fire" season 5.

"We're not averse to that," he said. "[However], it's not something that they would do 'shotgun-style' just to facilitate an adoption."

"They wouldn't do it just for appearances sake," he continued. "If and when they do it, they'll do it because it's time. We want a big episode, for sure. There may be something big with Casey and Dawson. We're not going to treat it like just any episode."

Meanwhile, a "Chicago Fire" character could be leaving Firehouse 51. As Olmstead revealed to TV Line, "The main battle going into next season is [between Jimmy and Boden], and one of them isn't going to be around [after it]."
