'The Winds of Winter' Release Date & Major Spoilers: Finished 'TWoW' Sees a Queen's Death? George R.R. Martin To Reveal Book Late 2016?

"Game of Thrones" season 6 has aired its final episode, but George R.R. Martin has yet to announce the "The Winds of Winter" release date.

As fans continue to wait for more details for the "The Winds of Winter," a new report from Australia Network News revealed that a late 2016 "TWoW" unveiling could already be in place. The publication even suggested that Martin might have already finished writing the novel and is just choosing to tease fans with pieces of his new novel.

During his Balticon appearance, the author revealed a new chapter of his sixth novel but failed to reveal any details about the "The Winds of Winter" release date.

"You're disappointed, and you're not alone," Martin said in a previous statement, as reported by ANN. "My editors and publishers are disappointed, HBO is disappointed, my agents and foreign publishers and translators are disappointed ... but no one could possibly be more disappointed than me."

Because of limited information about the highly anticipated "The Winds of Winter" release date, rumors about the book's plot start to spread like wildfire online. One speculation that has caught fans' attention about the upcoming "The Winds of Winter" release involves the alleged death of Daenerys and her dragons. Martin is notoriously known for killing off major characters in his books, so this rumor won't exactly be far fetched.

According to Parent Herald, George R.R. Martin will include a storyline on "The Winds of Winter" that despite ruling the Seven Kingdoms, Dany's reign won't be for long. The site continued to say that she was not really meant to be a ruler but only a conqueror, and she and her dragons won't be enough to save the Targaryen Dynasty.

Do you think "TWoW" will be released this year?
