'Game of Thrones': Clue in Season 2 Could Reveal How the Series Would End

The sixth season of "Game of Thrones" has come to an end and now fans have to wait another year until much awaited new episodes of the show's seventh season will be released. Unfortunately, this also means that the show is that much closer to its conclusion. But did you know that the ending to the show could have been hinted years prior in its second season?

According to the reports, the clue was how Daenerys Targaryen found the throne room in King's Landing. "The scene foretold two things: winter will make it all the way to King's Landing and the Night's King likely will too," says Sabienna Bowman for Bustle. It has also been theorized that the reason why the throne room is in ruins is because of the actions of Daenerys' dragons or of Cersei Lannister.

The angle of the dragons could mean that they will help Daenerys reclaim the throne, which is what a considerable amount of "Game of Thrones" viewers want. The actions of Jon Snow, a Targaryen by birth, can have major implications to where the story will go. There is only a small chance that Jon Snow will get a chance to rule from the Iron Throne, but he may very well be the key to getting her aunt Daenerys to it.

However, in her vision, Daenerys does not take a seat on the throne, rather she could only reach out to it, refusing to be distracted from her quest. This may deter some from this theory, but since Daenerys aims to usher in a new age through her rule, it is completely possible that she foregoes the Iron Throne in order to rule from some place else. It is also worth noting that the character development of Daenerys has been the most profound since she first appeared in the show's first season.
